Buddhists stole my clarinet... and I'm still as mad as Hell about it! How did a small-town boy from the Midwest come to such an end? And what's he doing in Rhode Island by way of Chicago, Pittsburgh, and New York? Well, first of all, it's not the end YET! Come back regularly to find out. (Plant your "flag" at the bottom of the page, and leave a comment. Claim a piece of Rhode Island!) My final epitaph? "I've calmed down now."

The Honorable Superdelegates - Your state officials who waited for the primary votes

As I said I would, I went back and looked at the state officials who are among the superdelegates who have chosen to wait until their state's primaries were held. I've listed them on my blog, below. Unfortunately, they only total 95. (There are more, but they are DNC officials, and not elected representatives. I'll list them here, too, below, but you can visit my blog for the names. Thanks to Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey, former Pittsburgh mayor Sophie Masloff, and Representatives John Murtha, Jason Altmire, Bob Brady, Chris Carney, Mike Doyle, and Tim Holden. Both Representative Doyle and Senator Casey will get my vote again next time around if they follow the state's popular vote - whatever that may be. And whether or not it is my candidate.

I've heard some interesting premises from died in the wool Democrats, and from independents who might vote Democratic. What I am hearing are three things for the GENERAL ELECTION (not the primary) : 1) The angry Democrats who will vote Repubican to protest machine politics, as they believe Bush was the worst the Republicans can throw at them, and they'd rather weather McKain in order to send a message to those currently running the Democratic party if the popular vote is overturned; 2) Vote Green, Vote Nader, whomever; and 3) Most interestingly, start a write-in campaign for either John Edwards, or whoever wins the popular vote in the Democratic Party. Oh.. there was a 4th... less heard... but interesting... begin a new third party, due to disenfranchisment of voters. The others who have judiciously withheld their superdelegate votes in lieu of their state's elections are listed as follows :

Call your reps listed below, and offer your support on their stands. My next blog will be on those who haven't voted, yet whose states HAVE delivered a popular vote in an election or caucus. One is former President Jimmy Carter, representing Florida, where Obama won handily, yet the Superdelegates have voted in favor of Clinton. What's the wait, President Carter?
